JioHotstar has launched in the UK, Canada and Singapore, marking the first stage of the streaming platform’s international expansion as it seeks to become a global entertainment service. The launch builds on the platform’s existing presence in India and targets both the South Asian diaspora and wider international audiences.

Paramount+ has renewed its original crime drama MobLand for a third season, ahead of the premiere of Season 2 on 18 September 2026.

The renewal will see Tom Hardy return as loyal fixer Harry da Souza, alongside Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren, who will reprise their roles as crime family patriarch Conrad Harrigan and matriarch Maeve Harrigan.

Season 2 will see the Harrigan family face growing pressure as rival groups threaten their criminal empire. Harry must navigate increasing tensions within the family as loyalties are tested and the struggle for power intensifies.

The second season will feature a 10-episode run, with new episodes released weekly on Fridays from 18 September through to the finale on 20 November.

Fourteen per cent of live sports viewers have considered switching streaming providers because their coverage fell behind real-time action, according to new research from Big Blue Marble. The study surveyed 5,027 consumers across the UK, US, France, Germany, Austria, Sweden and Norway.
